Thank You Sherry Lester and Jeff Basham

The Stewardship Team at CSLSR serves to oversee, protect, and preserve the finances of our Center. Two of its members have given their time and talents for the past 6 years and are now retiring as Ron Abler steps into a new term.

Sherry Lester has given quiet devotion and love to her role as Steward. She has the perfect balance of groundedness and a sense of fun as she contributed her mindful thoughts and organizational skills to the Team.

Jeff Basham brought intellect and curiosity to the Team, along with masterful technological expertise. He offered wonderful invocations and benedictions to the meetings in his role as Prayer Practitioner as well.

As we all hold gratitude in our hearts for the selfless service of this entire Team, we wish Sherry and Jeff the best and welcome Ron to his new beginnings as Steward.

  1. As a new Board Member, I have deeply appreciated when I hear that the Stewardship Committee has "approved" something we are looking at. Thank you both for helping create that deep trust with your individual gifts, talents and commitment.

Jail Ministry Gratitude

We would like to publicly recognize and celebrate the incredible dedication of Susan Bennett, Rosalie Sulgit-Shay, and Tamarya Hulme - who have tirelessly served in our community’s jail ministry.  For the past six years, these women have committed themselves to visiting incarcerated individuals every week, bringing with them compassion, hope, and spiritual guidance. Their unwavering presence has provided comfort and a sense of dignity to those who are often overlooked, offering a light in some of the darkest moments of these individuals' lives. Their work is a powerful reminder of the impact that loving-kindness, faith, and consistent support can have in transforming lives.  Let us all take a moment to honor and thank them for their extraordinary service and the difference they have made in our community.   Thank you.
