Blast from the Past: Rediscovering Connections within Our Larger Community

Hello everyone!

In today's "Blast from the Past" feature, we're exploring more than just a photo from our archives; we're diving into the heart of our larger community. This image captures a group of individuals who represent a specific community within our community. But who are they, and what special group do they belong to?

As we look back, I invite you to scrutinize the photo and see if you recognize any of these faces. Each person here has played a role in shaping a particular segment of our community, contributing to its unique character and activities.

The event captured in the photo also holds significance. Do you recall what this gathering was about? Were you there, and what memories do you have of it? This event and the community it represents have likely been on hiatus, especially with the challenges posed by the pandemic. However, the good news is that this is about to change, and we are gearing up to meet in person once again.

For those of you who are part of this specific group or have been touched by their work, this is a chance to reflect on how they have impacted your life. How has being a part of this community within the community influenced you? Your stories and experiences are invaluable and help paint a broader picture of the diversity and richness of our overall community.

This photo is more than just a memory; it's a reminder of the smaller, interconnected groups that form the fabric of our larger community. It's about the unique contributions, shared experiences, and deep connections that enrich us all.

So, please share your insights, memories, and stories in the comments below. Let’s celebrate the diversity within our community, reminisce about past gatherings, and look forward to reuniting in person soon.

Your stories and memories are what keep our community vibrant and connected. I can't wait to hear about your experiences and the impact this group has had on you.

Looking forward to reconnecting and creating new memories together!

Warm regards,

Edward Viljoen, Senior Minister

COMING ON JULY 6 - JAIL MINISTRY RECOGNITION - Supporting Those Incarcerated in Sonoma County

The Center for Spiritual Living, Santa Rosa (CSLSR) Jail Ministry is a team of dedicated volunteers who visit individuals incarcerated at the Sonoma County Main Adult Detention Facility (MADF) where approximately 700 people await trial or retrial. Many are confined to their cell 23 hours a day, sometimes for years. Each week, we visit those who request connection, offering compassionate presence and spiritual support. Through providing one-on-one and group visits, classes, inspirational books, and copies of Science of Mind Magazine, we help individuals reconnect with their inner divinity and wholeness.  Voices from Inside: “Your visit changed everything for me.” “You give us strength and calm. You show us a different path.” “I read a passage from The Mastery of Love every night—it helps me sleep.”   Want to Support the Ministry? 1. Pray for all those incarcerated in Sonoma County 2. Volunteer—join our team and help expand our reach 3. Donate—all funds go toward...
